iLAEA Certification Program:
Where Creativity Meets Kingdom Commerce
iNSPiRED Lifestyle Arts & Entertainment Alliance (iLAEA) for Urban Inspired Entertainment Arts—equipping creative entrepreneurs to supply culturally-relevant lifestyle, content, and experiences for faith-driven audiences & fans.
A certification program creates a preference in the marketplace for people who have invested the time to deliver excellence and quality to the consumer. When people and organizations have invested in themselves, their skills and their experience, it pays off. Becoming certified can be invaluable because it provides portable proof of their abilities.
Ultimately, developing a well-thought-out certification program helps an industry’s stakeholders, customers and members advance the industry’s interests, as well as the organizations that stand to gain. It is arguably the best way to create confidence in the marketplace. iLAEA’s “The Alliance” Certification Program is designed as a mechanism to standardize and legitimize Urban Inspirational/Christian artists, professionals, and businesses that provide services to the market, and ministries that develop, care, and cultivate urban communities and congregations. Train-the-Trainer Certification courses will initially be established in Atlanta via participating ministries. After critical mass is achieved, the courses will be extended to additional markets and ultimately offered online or perhaps through self-directed study.
INSTITUTIONAL & AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT
Institutions
Imagine how the urban entertainment landscape would be effected if certain churches which already produce and train talented young people(those who currently carry their valuable experience, tutelage, and honed skill sets to the mainstream marketplace) decided instead to be Elijah Revolutionaries in Urban Arts, Entertainment and Music. These churches would then become the forerunners of a new kind of cultural influencers God intended to impact, influence, ignite, and inspire the world with the gifts He gave them. In an effort to transform the most suitable and interested churches into Urban Inspired Cultural Centers of Influence (UICCI) that assists the Urban Inspirational Arts, Entertainment, and Music Industry to revolutionize the overall entertainment industry; iLAEA plans to propose to said ministries an infrastructure that will act as a foundation for local and regional centers of education and training. These centers will have the opportunity to not only produce high quality content, materials, and products, but also form specialized services, networks, and channels of distribution that create a demand for artists and other entertainment or ministry professionals. Additionally, we will facilitate liaisons between the churches and local and/or nearby Christian Universities for additional educational advancements that will act as a lasting legacy to extend into future generations.
Audience
Artists, Professionals, and Ministries that desire to invest in their development to become experts or leaders in their specific area of professionalism will value receiving the distinction of our exclusive certification program. As well, the access to service offerings of our UICCI will prove invaluable to the participants’ professional growth and success. The participant will have the option of attending certification training at their nearest local or regional UICCI.
iLAEA equips ministries, creative entrepreneurs, artists, performers, service providers, and cultural innovators with industry infrastructure, business acumen, leadership skills, marketing, branding integrated with Kingdom principles needed to thrive in the entertainment, media, digital arts, and creative industries. This certification program bridges the gap between artistic excellence and entrepreneurial sustainability.
Ministry Certification:
designed to certify urban based ministries for discipling, preparing, supporting individuals & ministerial groups called to the arts & entertainment ministry. This coursework will identify best practices for growing urban congregations utilizing the influence of arts & entertainment. The program will culminate into an ordination and appointment to host certification courses and trainings.
Business Certification:
These trainings are designed to certify participants for conducting Kingdom business in excellence. Participants ideal for this course include marketing & promotion companies; booking agents; recording studios, film, television, and theater service providers; artist management; PR; web/ tech design businesses, etc. Participants can be expected to be the industry standard bearers doing business according to Christian principles & ethics.
Artist Certification:
These trainings are designed to ground artists, creatives, and professionals in the Word and ensure that progress or success will not cause harm to their spiritual walk. Course participants will be prepared to manage temptations of all types; instructed on the process of effective evangelism via arts/entertainment; then evaluated for excellence in their area of specialty. Other topics-newest trends, tech, industry shifts, etc. will be studied to assist artists in offering customers/fans the very best the Urban Inspired Industry has to offer.
Accountability Consults:
The ethics that bind us to every aspect of our industry are not necessarily required for mainstream entertainment. Because Faith-Driven Entertainment is governed by the Word of God , it is vital that we uphold our confession of Faith which exclusively distinguishes the Urban Gospel/Christian Hip Hop Industry.
This body of elders will be convened and regularly governed to ensure the integrity of the overall program, its leaders, and certified members. Ideally, these individuals are the ones without anything to gain from their roles and are committed to uphold Christian ethics.

National Visibility

Addressing Implementation Considerations
We recognize that partnerships of this scope require careful consideration of operational, financial, and strategic factors. This section addresses common implementation questions with transparency and practical solutions.
Operational Capacity
Concern: Does BHU have sufficient staff, systems, and infrastructure to support rapid program expansion?
Solution: Dr. Frederick-Brown's team provides curriculum development, program management, and initial delivery support—minimizing BHU's operational burden during launch phase. Partnership revenue funds dedicated staff positions as programs scale.
Academic Quality
Concern: Will non-traditional programs maintain academic rigor and accreditation standards?
Solution: All programs undergo standard academic review, incorporate learning outcomes assessment, and align with accreditation requirements. BHU maintains full academic authority over curriculum and credentialing.
Financial Investment
Concern: What upfront costs does BHU need to absorb before generating revenue?
Solution: Minimal capital investment required. Initial expenses (marketing, administrative support, technology) funded through partnership development grants and early program revenue. Projected break-even within 6-9 months.
Cultural Alignment
Concern: Will new programs fit BHU's institutional culture and theological commitments?
Solution: All programs explicitly integrate Kingdom principles, biblical worldview, and Christian leadership development—reinforcing rather than diluting BHU's distinctive faith identity and missional focus.
Success Metrics: Measuring Partnership Impact
Effective partnerships require clear metrics for assessing progress, demonstrating value, and guiding strategic decisions. We propose comprehensive evaluation frameworks across financial, academic, and missional dimensions.
